Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley

Synopsis:

Stuck in a colorless world, Tyra Masters decides to chuck her old life and starts searching for something. She doesn't know what it is until she meets her dream man. The goateed, tattooed, muscled, gravelly voiced motorcycle man who plies her with tequila and gives her the best sex of her life. But she knows it isn't the tequila and sex talking. He’s it. He’s who she’s been daydreaming about since she could remember.
Until he makes it clear she isn’t who he’s looking for.
Tyra slinks away from his bed, humiliated. The problem is, he’s her new boss. She just may or may not have forgotten to tell him that part.
Kane “Tack” Allen has a rule. He doesn’t employ someone he’s slept with. And he lets Tyra know that in his motorcycle man way. Tyra fights for her job and wins it using sass and a technicality. Tack challenges her that if she hits his bed one more time, she loses her job.
Tyra is determined to keep her job and keep away from Tack. But she makes a big mistake. During their head-to-heads, she lets it all hang out and shows Tack she is who he’s looking for. And Tack has had a good woman slip through his fingers, he’s not about to let that happen again.
Although Tack colors Tyra’s world with a vibrancy that’s blinding, being with him means she has to live in his Motorcycle Club world. Full on, no holds barred. And since Tack’s world, not to mention Tack, is a little scary, Tyra isn’t so sure.
It's Tack's job to convince her.

******************************************************

I always seem to read Kristen Ashley’s books out of order for some reason.  I ended up reading Motorcycle Man, the fourth book in The Dream Man Series first and I absolutely loved it! Tack who showed up in the first book, Mystery Man, gets his own story now. In Motorcycle Man he meets Trya Masters, a feisty woman that I instantly liked. Out of all the KA books I have read, Tack and Tyra are one of my favorite couples.

“To be fair, baby, I’m givin’ you a warning,” he said quietly. “Let me go,” I demanded just as quietly, mostly because I was freaking out. “I want somethin’, I get it.” “Let me go,” I repeated. “Only once, I didn't  That shit ain't happenin’ to me again.” “Tack –” “ You've been warned, Red,” he whispered and I watched his eyes drop to my mouth. I held my breath and put pressure on his hand at my head. I was concentrating on both of these things so hard, I lost track of his other hand until I felt his fingers against my cheek. His thumb was sliding along my lower lip before I could do anything to stop it. Then he released me, turned and without another word or look, he sauntered out the door.

What I liked:
Tack is a sexy and stubborn alpha male with tattoos and a goatee. Once he knows what he wants, he isn't afraid of going after it. Apart from running a custom bike shop, he is an awesome dad to two kids. If biker dudes aren't normally your thing, Tack will definitely change your mind.

Tyra is cute. She is sassy and determined. I don’t want to spoil the story too much for those who have not read it yet, but there is this one scene when something goes down with Tabby, Tack’s daughter and Tyra jumps to defend Tabby without so much as even an afterthought. I thought that was awesome. Tyra comes up with her own way of helping/defending her which happens to be funny and also one of my favorite scenes in the book.

Final thoughts:
Kristen Ashley has the ability to write fun and sexy romances with a good attention to detail and solid characters that the reader cannot help but care about. Her books were one of the first few contemporary romances that I had read and I am so glad that I did. One of the biggest things I like is that the majority of her stories end with a great HEA. I love that. I am looking forward to Shy and Tabby’s story in Own the Wind which is supposed to release on April 2, 2013.
