Mini Book Review: Rebecca’s Lost Journals, Vol. 4: My Master by Lisa Renee Jones

Publication: May 20, 2013
Publisher: Simon and Schuster

Synopsis:
In part four of Rebecca’s Lost Journals, My Master, it’s Rebecca turn to claim control and set the limits in her relationship.

This is the fourth novella that continues to focus on Rebecca’s journey with her new Master.  The more time Rebecca spends with her Master, the deeper she begins to sink into His world and the more she loses of herself. She was once an independent young woman determined to get the most out of life no matter how hard she had to work. Now she is getting more dependent on her Master.
Lisa R. Jones does a good job at creating a story where the reading cares about Rebecca and wants to find out what happened to her. The main thing that I like about these novellas is that they give a greater insight into Rebecca and her thought process. I thought that if I read these novellas I would be completely satisfied and know everything that happened to Rebecca, but that didn’t happened. After finishing this volume I was left eagerly wanting more…

Rating: 4½ out of 5.

Book Review: Rebecca’s Lost Journals, Vol. 3: His Submissive by Lisa Renee Jones

Publication: April 22, 2013
Publisher: Simon and Schuster

Synopsis:

In part three of Rebecca’s Lost Journals, His Submissive , Rebecca must decide just how far she will go for the darkly intense man who she is falling in love with. And does she dare believe that he too, will ever?

In this volume of Rebecca’s journals, she is just beginning her life as her Master’s submissive after she signed the contract.  This is a whole new world for her and so she enters into it with little to no knowledge of what to truly expect. So it’s up to her mysterious Master to show her this way of life.
I felt like Rebecca was falling for this man a little too quickly and her feelings are much more intense than his actual feelings for her. That is something that could possibly lead to heartbreak on her part. Despite the fact that she may be in too deep, she gives herself to him freely and is shown a world that brings her both pleasure and pain. But at what cost??

Rating: 4½ out of 5.

Mini Review: Rebecca’s Lost Journals, Volume 2: The Contract by Lisa Renee Jones

Synopsis:
In part two of Rebecca’s Lost Journals, The Contract, the relationship between Rebecca and her rich, darkly alluring man intensifies and she must decide just how deep she will go into his intensely erotic world.
**********************************************************

The second volume of Rebecca’s Lost Journals picks up pretty much where the first one ended. Rebecca is dealing with the contract that her ‘Master’ wants her to sign and she is also having success at the art gallery. So far things are going well for her. Who ‘Master’ is still remains a mystery that I am dying to figure out!
Reading the details of the contract becomes overwhelming for Rebecca and she begins to question if she can truly be a submissive. I personally feel that she wants to at least attempt it, but worries that entering into this new world would be more than she can handle. Will it interfere with the career she wants to achieve at the art gallery? Will there be too many strings attached? Will she feel suffocated? Or will it be exactly what she craves and more?
After reading this novella, I just want to keep reading more and more about Rebecca and her life. Time for Volume 3…

Mini Review: Rebecca’s Lost Journals, Volume 1: The Seduction by Lisa Renee Jones

An Inside Out novella...

The secret life of Rebecca and the men who have seduced her.
These are the journals Sara never sees, but you the reader, will!

Connection to The Inside Out Trilogy that has recently been optioned to STARZ for TV with Suzanne Todd (Alice in Wonderland w/Johnny Depp) producing and includes exciting clues for the series readers but stands alone as it’s own exciting erotic story.

The Inside Out Trilogy includes IF I WERE YOU, BEING ME, and REVEALING US

In part one of Rebecca’s Lost Journals, The Seduction, Rebecca meets the rich, darkly alluring man who will draw her into a passionate, intense affair and tempt her into erotic experiences she never thought she would dare.

**********************************************************************

In Volume 1 of Rebecca’s Lost Journals, we meet the much elusive Rebecca that was first introduced in If I Were You. This story is a novella, so it is not relatively long, but it is filled with a unique look into Rebecca’s life before she disappeared. This novella is written in diary format

In Rebecca’s diary, she writes about her issues with her mom who has passed away, her fears, and dreams. She begins to have nightmares and a sense of foreboding that something bad is going to happen.

In an attempt to take charge of her life and go after something she has longed to do, she lands a job working at the gallery Mark Compton Owns. Not long after that she meets the mystery man who is known only as ‘Master’.

I liked Rebecca’s voice. It was nice to have a little bit of substance to Rebecca’s character since she was more of a mystery in If I Were You. I was able to get more insight into her character. Rebecca’s first lost journal is a good addition to If I Were You that will leave the reader wanting more.
