I was so happy when I found out about Lexi Ryan’s newest book. If you haven’t read any of her books, you don’t know what you are missing! Ever since Lost In Me, I have been a fan. Now it is Lizzy and Sam’s turn to have a little romance and hopefully a happy ending. I will try not to be too spoilery for this review.

Lizzy has always had a thing for Sam. But he has a bad boy reputation. Despite that reputation, Lizzy still want to go for it. But Sam doesn’t do relationships, and only wants a sexual relationship with Liz. She claims she is okay with that. But when a bad situation ends up causing problems between Lizzy, Sam’s sister and her fiance., it also ends up putting a strain on her friendship with Sam.

In an attempt to find something real like her sisters and friends, she signs up for an online dating site where she meets a man who she is hoping is really Sam.

Lizzy is a strong woman who knows what she wants. She has goals and ambitions, but she doesn’t always make the best decisions. She has good intentions, but those intentions sometimes lead to bad choices.

Sam is a dominate, sexy man who wants no complications in his life. Especially when it comes to Lizzy. He feels things for her that he hasn’t with any other woman he’s been with. But his past issues are keeping him from having something more with her.

Both Liz and Sam have emotional barriers that are stopping them from being together. Not to mention secrets. Their chemistry is scorching hot for sure, and the more I read, the more I was hoping they would move past everything and take a chance on each other. But if I was hoping everything was going to be resolved neatly and happily by the end of this book, it was just wishful thinking on my part. Beware there is a cliffhanger with this one!

In the end, Something Reckless was a thoroughly satisfying read. It met my expectations and then some. I am just super disappointed that I have to wait until March 3, 2015 to find out what happens next!! Before you read this, I would definitely recommend reading the free novela, Something Wild first.
