TOP TEN MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK RELEASES FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2019!

I feel like there are so many awesome sounding books coming out this year; more so than 2018 IMO. It was hard to pick and choose which books I am looking forward to the most, but I think I did it. Take a look at let me know what you think!

 The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden – Releases January 8, 2019.

Yeah, I know this book releases in just a few hours, but I am still looking forward to it. I didn’t like the second book as much as I did the first one, but I am excited to see where Vasya ends up on her journey.

As Long as We Both Shall Live by JoAnn Chaney – Releases January 15, 2019.

This book piqued my interest as soon as I saw it. The cover looks great and this sounds really suspenseful.

We Shouldn’t by Vi Keeland – Releases January 21, 2019.

I’m a sucker for a cute romance and I love Vi Keeland. This one sounds cute and funny. 

The Deceivers (The Valhalla Academy #1) by Kristen Simmons – Releases February 5, 2019.

Pretty Little Liars meets Ocean’s 11? Ummm Yes Please! It’s been a while since I’ve read a good con artist story. Fingers crossed it meets my expectations. 

99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne – Releases January 29, 2019.

As soon as I see the words romantic comedy, I am sold. 99 Percent Mine sounds totally cute and swoon worthy. 

Sherwood by Meagan Spooner – Releases on March 19, 2019.

I love Robin Hood. And I can appreciate a good spin on a classic tale. Sherwood looks like it would be a lot of fun to read.

Call Me Evie by J.P. Pomare – Releases March 5, 2019.

I am all for a good psychological thriller and this one sounds like it’s right up my alley.

Meet Cute by Helena Hunting – Releases April 9, 2019.

Here is yet another romantic comedy on my list. There seem to be a lot of good ones coming out. Meet Cute sounds totally adorable! I cannot wait to check it out. 

I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella – Releases February 5, 2019.

Sophie Kinsella’s books are usually bright and fun romances. I enjoyed her Shopaholic series, and I hope that I like this one just as well.

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager – Releases July 2, 2019.

So technically this book is slightly passed the first half of 2019, but it’s so close I am putting on the list anyways. I love Riley Sager. Final Girls was one of my favorite reads and I crossing my fingers that this book is just as good if not better. So excited for it!

TOP TEN BOOKS I READ IN 2018

I can’t believe 2019 is here so fast! This past year seemed to just fly by. I didn’t read a lot, but fortunately I did discover some books that I loved. Take a look at my list below. It was very hard narrowing the list down to 10 only! Clicking the book covers will take you to Goodreads.

The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware – I loved the writing in this book. The mystery wasn’t completely obvious and Hal was a great character. 

The Vanishing Season (Ellery Hathaway #1) by Joanna Schaffhausen – I loved the main character in this book. She is a survivor and she doesn’t care whose feathers she ruffles as long as justice is served. The mystery portion was well done. 

Blood Type (Blood Type #1) by K.A. Linde – I was unsure about this book when I first started it. The more I read, the more pulled into the story I got. It’s not your typical paranormal romance that’s for sure. 

Daughters of the Lake by Wendy Webb – This was a very atmospheric gothic style read. I enjoyed following Kate on her journey and seeing the outcome of everything play out. 

Josh & Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren – This was my top read of 2018. It was a very cute friends to lover romance. It made me laugh and smile all throughout the book. 

 Hate Notes by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward – This romance was as laugh out loud funny as it was sweet and swoon worthy.

Risk: Part 1 by Nina Levine – This one is a romance quickie. Shorty and steamy. I loved the two main characters and I cannot wait to see what happens in Part 2.  

                                            

Fight or Flight by Samantha Young – This hate to love romance was so much fun to read. Caleb and Ava stole my heart. Their banter and chemistry kept me turning pages. 

Midnight Wolf (Shifters Unbound #11) by Jennifer Ashley – I fell in love with the two main characters. They are both headstrong and capable of handling themselves, yet when they are together it works perfectly. This paranormal romance was so easy to devour. 

                                                                                                                                                            

Promises & Primroses (Mayfield Family #1) by Josi Kilpack – I adored this historical romance. The main character is strong and independent, especially for that time period.  

Murder Notes & Murder Girl (Lilah Love #1 & #2) by Lisa Renee Jones – I love this series. The mystery aspect is well done and the romance is not overdone.

There are so many books releasing this year that it almost seems impossible to keep track of what I want to read. Top Ten Tuesday: My Summer 2013 TBR List

Summer is fast approaching and what better way to spend it than by soaking up the sun, drinking ice tea, and reading a good book. For this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, the list will focus on my TBR list for the summer. Books shown below will be released from June 21^st through September 22^nd.  This list was a hard one for me! I didn’t realize how many books that I want to read are coming out this summer, so my list has 11 books instead of the normal 10. J

Top Ten Favorite Books I Read Before I Became a Blogger

 This weeks Top Ten Tuesday is about my favorite ten books that I read before I became a blogger.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish blog. 

As a warning I will admit now that some of the books I am listing below will have shown up on previous lists. To me they are just that awesome. 

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - This book has come up a few times in my TTT Lists, but I cannot help it. It is one of my all-time favorite reads. Jane Austen rocks.

The Coffin Quilt by Ann Rinaldi - A book involving the feud between the Hatfield and the McCoys? I was sold. It’s a children/teen historical fiction book, but I still love to re-read it. 

The Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer - (I know, I know, but don’t judge me!) I resisted to read the books and watch the movies for so long. Then thanks to a friend, I got hooked on the books. What can I say?  I enjoyed them a lot. 

Burned by Ellen Hopkins - This was the first book I had ever read by Ellen Hopkins. The story and the characters felt real and I liked it so much I was pimping it out to all of my friends shortly after I finished it. 

Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. I love to shop, so naturally a book about a girl living in London who is obsessed with shopping was right up my alley. 

A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly - Here is another book making a repeat performance on my list. I loved Mattie and her thirst/love for words and knowledge. 

Gabriel’s Inferno & Gabriel’s Rapture by Sylvain Reynard - Words cannot express how much I truly adored these two books. A story about love, forgiveness, healing, and much more. I loved them. So excited about book three releasing in December!

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire - I thought Beautiful Disaster was just awesome sauce. Enough said. 

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott - Little Women is a great classic that I believe everyone should read at least once in their lifetime. 

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater I read this book after I became a blogger, but I had wanted it beforehand, so I went out and bought it as fast as I could. I didn't have any intention of blogging it, but because I loved the Raven Boys so much I had to. Blue is a great character and I am very, very excited to get The Dreams Thieves when it releases in September.
